Miss Cola’s first massage with me - a process that took her some time to get used to, as she was yet to settle in completely, but this helped to build a bond between us and relax her in her new home.

As you can see, we abandoned the headcollar to allow her to express any behaviours she may want to. Cola is only 5, and had never had a body work session before, and so I wanted to make sure she was as comfortable as possible and we could call it a day at her pace. I like to use techniques like this to help stressy horses, or those who have never experienced bodywork before, enjoy the process as much as possible - who knew it would come in handy with my own horse one day!
